We stayed at the Pan American Hotel for one night due to the fact that we had a very early morning flight out of New York and didn't relish battling ny traffic. The Pan American Hotel is located extremely close to the airport and provides a shuttle service for $10 which seems very fair. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to have an early morning flight as being a very good option. Unfortunately it does appear to be off the beaten track with nothing of any interest in the vicinity. We went out on a search for restaurants but the locality is very boring and the only restaurant is the one in the hotel. However, considering the lower cost of this hotel, it would be a good option for someone on a budget who is visiting New York. If they bought a travel pass for 7 days they'd be able to save on train fares.

This hotel offers great value for money, especially considering the prices in NYC. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff is extremely helpful. The hotel even provides free parking, which is rare in this city. Additionally, the location in a safe working-class neighborhood is not only very convenient for transportation but also nicely placed near good shopping malls and the subway, making getting around very easy to all airports.

Location - Safety -

1- Charges for shuttle to the airport. Should be a courtesy service. Also, the same shuttle goes to La Guardia and to jfk airports. Why not having one shuttle to each airport at different time? 2.- Air conditioner in the room was noisy.

Out of date! Needs major interior and exterior rennovation

The hotel had a great location, within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. We also appreciated the free shuttle service to and from the airport. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with all the necessary amenities provided. On Christmas Day, they even offered a special holiday brunch for guests which was a nice touch.

The walls of the hotel seemed quite thin, as we could hear a lot of noise from other guests in the halls and neighboring rooms. the parking lot was small and often full, making it difficult to find a spot to park.

everyone was helpful, friendly, informative. ease of distance to subway was great. the consierge had very quick and correct answers to all of my direction questions. we had to remain in the lobby for 2 hours--and our car in the lot--because my child became ill the night before; this was no problem. we had a change in travelers at the last minute, and the hotel was accomodating in changing my request of room choice. because we had a queen room, their was extra space for a pleasant-sized seating area. i would definitely do a repeat stay, and i recommend this hotel to others.

the only complaint is the city traffic noises which we are not accustomed to hearing when going to sleep. however, after full days of NYC exploring, sleeping was never an issue.

Room was modern and up to date. Staff was friendly and very willing to help. Free parking was on site which is a huge plus in New York City. Also hotel is conveniently located near the airport.

My only complaint about this hotel is the door from the parking lot was locked so I had to walk all around to the front of the hotel with all my luggage. Easy fix that I know will be addressed.

Staff was very family-like. The people who picked me up and dropped me off at the airport were very polite and clearly worked at the hotel and know all of the staff there. They got my bags in and out and made good conversation.

Lighting in the room was dark. Limited amenities for bathroom.
